 The name "The Blue Peanut Garden" originated while certifying our garden as a Monarch Waystation. It is inspired by our blue farmhouse, the large variety of blue flowers we grow and the number one reason, our dog-son Peanut Joseph and his swirly blue eyes. Peanut was our wonderful Aussiedoodle dog-son. He was a larger than life being with a giant heart. On New Years Eve 2019 he was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma. A horrible cancer of the vascular endothelium or blood vessel walls. It causes hemorrhages when the tumors rupture. He fought hard and was so tough. Peanut lost his battle with cancer on May 7th, 2020. We miss him everyday. This page and our garden is a tribute to Peanut. He loved being in the garden, especially with me. The garden and creating these products with herbs we grow, keeps me connected to Peanut. My husband and I are going to keep Peanut's memory alive by helping others. That is why all profits from the sale of these goods will be donated to The National Canine Cancer Foundation. NCCF is dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem in dogs through education, outreach and research. To save dogs through awareness, early detection, finding cures, better treatments, more accurate cost effective diagnostic methods in dealing with canine cancer.
